UK-based SMS "Simpler, and less costly" than outsourcing to Far East

The Requirement

With regulatory approvals and CE marking for a new veterinary product looming large, this customer turned to SMS Technologies. The goal: to accelerate the product’s time-to-manufacture, whilst eliminating the complexities of outsourcing to the Far East.

The Challenge

The challenge to SMS was simple: to leverage our procurement capability and production flexibility to cut the total overall cost of Far Eastern manufacture – enabling top quality certified products to be delivered on time to each of the customer’s markets.

The Achievement

Not only did we achieve our goal. As we are certified by an accredited Notified Body, we were able to manage the necessary regulatory approvals too – allowing the customer to focus on innovation, confident that we are on hand to overcome any production challenges.
